COMMUNITY UPDATE-

BOATING CONDITIONS– As we return to our spring-like weather here on the lake, we wanted to update our residents and lot owners of some upcoming plans for the month of March.

We were able to take advantage of some warmer conditions a few weeks back and get “Beacon 1” back out on the water to check the status of  boating conditions and we are happy to report that our buoys remained in place and the trip went extremely well.

The existing recommended route will remain the same this year with full pool conditions currently in play. Although your comfort level preferences are at the discretion of each Captain, we urge boaters to continue to follow the buoys 20 to 30 feet off your port side that are starting about 300 feet off lot 42. When returning, please observe the (Red, Right Return) recommendations from the US Coast Guard and keep the buoys 20 to 30 feet from your Starboard side when heading in.

We followed that same route a few weeks back when the lake was just over a foot down and it was clear sailing all the way to the bridge.  The only boating hazard which we have not yet confirmed is what may be remaining from a (route dig) about 150 feet off of the shoreline between lot 39 and 40 which was left during last years drought conditions.

Once that contractor returns with his barge, he will level out that spot if needed.  So until that time, Boat Captains, please follow the normal departure pattern along the retaining wall and turn left at lot 42 if you feel more comfortable.  Once again, conditions and buoys sometimes change so please use your normal discretion when leaving our shoreline and enjoy a great boating season.

ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS-

We are on the schedule with Lonestar Paving in the next 2 weeks to begin restoring the road paving conditions on Beacon Hill Road that are showing signs of wear. We may have to divert some traffic however the main thoroughfare will remain open.

BEACH AREA-

The restrooms at the beach will remain closed while we replace the damaged faucets, suffered during the recent freeze in both restrooms. We will put out the announcement once they are back in service.

Please continue to provide your input and recommendations to us via this portal and we will review and address these items as soon as possible. We thank you for your using this valuable tool and we look forward to more updates as well as a busy spring season.
