RESIDENTS: So many of you have asked about Kristian, our Summer Pool & Marina Help, and how he is doing. We decided to give you an update here. He arrived in Germany one week ago today, his very first plane experience was a pretty long one. He is settling in nicely, he has said his host family is very nice and fun. Kristian is enrolled in a Private School, his host family is providing that for him, they had a party for him and invited 12 of their son’s friends. He said, “They are the popular kids and now they are my friends, for the first time ever I am part of them”. He is playing tennis regularly with his host sister and dad, and his last report was he is signing up for Sailing Lessons! Kristian has an entire world ahead of him, and many new, undiscovered things. Life is pretty large when you have a support system. Rotary, Beacon Hill, and all of you have helped provide him with some kind of support, and we really expect big things from this young man. He greatly misses the community, his job, and residents, but we told him we would be here when he gets back in a year. We will make arrangements to have a FaceTime with him at one of our events this winter. Thank you to everyone who has asked about him, which is all of you, and thank you for being kind and thinking about him. We haven’t seen the last of that guy just yet.
