Aquatic Center Reminder: A Little Help From Everyone

Good morning Residents and Homesite Purchasers,

We had several families enjoying the Aquatic Center over the Labor Day weekend, and we’re always happy to see your community amenities being enjoyed.

Monday morning, our cleaning lady noticed the smell of gas when she arrived and discovered that the grill had accidentally been left on. Thankfully, she caught it, but we thought this would be a good opportunity to share a few friendly reminders with everyone.

Since the POA does not have an on-site pool attendant, we appreciate everyone taking a quick look around before heading home and helping leave the Aquatic Center safe, secure and ready for the next family to enjoy.

  • Please make sure the gas grill is completely turned off.
  • Lower the shades when the pool area is no longer being used.
  • Gather any trash and personal belongings before leaving. There is a green barrel beside the facility for larger trash items.
  • Give the area one last look to make sure everything is secure.

The shades are especially helpful right now because we continue to work on our rather persistent vulture situation around the Aquatic Center and Marina. Apparently, they’ve also discovered the Pickleball Court light fixtures, so we’re looking at options to discourage their new favorite hangout spots.

Keeping the shades down also helps with our other lakefront neighbors – the bugs. We probably aren’t going to win the battle against every dirt dauber (they apparently have 24-hour construction permits), but keeping things closed up when the area isn’t being used really does help.

Lake living comes with birds, bugs, dirt and the occasional unexpected visitor. We’ll keep working on these things from the maintenance side, and we truly appreciate everyone helping with the simple things when enjoying your shared amenities.

And, of course, if you ever smell gas or notice anything that may be a safety concern, please let the Beacon Hill office know right away.

Thank you, everyone, and we hope you continue enjoying the Aquatic Center!
