Residents of Beacon Hill were treated to our City’s first major Christmas parade Saturday evening in downtown Kemp.

The Long’s, Meadow’s and Stempak’s were chosen as Grand Marshal’s for the event riding in Jim Stewart’s 59 Oldsmobile.

Mayor Christi Neal rode in the 66 Ford Thunderbird following just behind the Grand Marshal car.

The event took many of us by surprise with as many as 68 registered city resident floats who were eventually judged by our distinguished Grand Marshal’s.

Residents were also treated by our own Grand Marshal and Resident Nicole Long singing her beautiful rendition of Silent Night in front of a packed crowd at the grand stand.
